1856—1857
Inger Pedersen Hansen, widow of Niels Hansen, came to America with her five children, Chistine, age 25; Peter Niels Hansen nearly 24; Anna, 19; Bertha, 16; and Emma [Inger in some record],age 10; in the latter part of 1855 or early 1856; they went to Iowa. They traveled to Nebraska, with the 5th Handcart Company. At Florence, Inger and Christine died. Peter and his 3 younger sisters stayed the winter in Florence and came to Utah the following year, 1857.

There was a Henrik Jensen and Maren [Johansen] Jensen listed in the Mormon Immigratin Index, as coming to America on the ship "John J. Boyd" which left Liverpool England, 30 April 1863, and arrived 29 May 1863 at the Port of New york, New York.

the Ship "John Bright"

Ship: 1444 tons. 192 x 41" x 29' Built in 1854 by Willian H. Webb at New York City, New York The John Bright was just 4 years old in 1858 when it made its first voyage with Scandinavian Immiagrants. The full rigged John Bright made three voyages with Mormon emmigrants. The first voyage left Liverpool on 22 Maraach 1858; commanded by Captain R. C. Cutting, and among the passengers were eighty-nine Mormons; eighty from Scandanavia, and nine form England. Elder Iver N. Iversen, returning from a Scandinavian misssion, was the leader of the Saints. I was a 32 day passage landing at New York on 23 April 1858
